Known issues: =Textures/images/sprites/background messed up? Packedrat uses html5/javascript and not flash. So the game is treated as if it was just another webpage by your browser. Because of this, the images and scripts the game uses can be cached by your browser. When an update is made to the game files are replaced on the server. If your browser keeps older files, but still downloads the new script, the game will draw the images from the wrong locations. Fix: Clear your browser's cache. you do not need to clear cookies, saved files, local storage, or any other form of data recorded on your browser. You do not need to download tools like Ccleaner to do this. Simply search for how to clear your cache on the browser you use. You only need to clear "stored images and data" and not logins or local files. =The game isn't loading? I'm not fully in control of my filehost. The most I can do is contact them if I get continual reports of no connection for around a day. Otherwise, it may just be temporary issues or maintenence on their end. Wait 10 minutes and try again. I may also be doing an upload of a new version at that time. Which has been known to prevent the game from loading until the script file is done uploading. =There is no sound on the nightly/browser version Audio is not loaded on the browser version of the game due to audio files not being cached by browsers. This would mean that every time you visit the webpage you would download the audio files. My hosting package cannot deal with continual 10-20mb file requests from hundreds of players. The server has been known to slow down considerably when I do a stable update, and that is just users downloading a single 30mb+ zip file! =The game is playing very fast on the nightly/browser version I am currently exploring fixes for this issue. It is apparently an upstream bug on gamemaker's end. If the refresh rate of the monitor is above 80hertz the game runs at that speed instead of the limited 60. I am exploring methods to try and clamp framerate in different ways then the default one. However This bug appears unique to the html5 version of the game. Like many other frustrating version specific bugs I have had to work around, it may take a while for me to fix properly. THe current work around on the user's end is sadly to just lower the refresh rate. However, I would prefer to fix this so I did not need to ask users to change their settings exclusively to play packedrat. =Some doors don't go anywhere. =Some rooms looks weird, and are not fully built? =I do not know where to go after Blackcat manor? The game is unfinished. This broadly applies to many issues in the game. If you believe you have found a bug, and that the issue you are having might not be due to the game's wip status. Don't be afraid to report it to me on my FA page. The FA logo at the bottom right of packedrat's webpage will take you there. Either post your bug as a comment on the latest upload of the game, or note me the issue you are having. Both require you to have an FA account, and the first requires you to be over 18. Though if you aren't over 18 and playing this then you're not meant to play this anyway; Shoo. =Where is XXX? I heavily wish for the players to explore the world for themselves. Sometimes finding things you never knew were in the game is more fun then simply looking for some animation or item you know is in the game and just wish to have or watch. If you feel stuck, don't be afraid to go back and check older areas with new items. If you are truely stuck, or absolutely just want an item or enemies location. It can be asked on my furaffinity page. The FA logo at the bottom right of packedrat's webpage will take you there. Commenting requires you to have a furaffinity account, and be over 18, as stated in the previous section. =Will you add XXX? I work mostly on ideas and urges I find fun and interesting. While pairing them with some kind of interesting mechanic. It is exceedingly rare I take fursona or creature requests directly. I do not mind hearing ideas on my furaffinity page, but in every case they are considerations and not promises. They are even subject to mutation. You might ask for a fox that pounces on the player, and instead end up with a badger that jumps between walls. =Is there a gallery mode? No. My priority focus is to make a GAME. That is the hobby i love and enjoy. Doing animations and even audio work is actually quite taxing to me. As I am primarily a programmer. I do this because I love making intricate working systems. Packedrat just happens to be kinky, and have vore as part of its core gameplay. Not just as some cheap gimmick. Adding a gallery simply to view all the game has to offer removes the game itself from consideration. Considering I love making games and not just vore animations, this will never be added unless I wish to kill any enthusiasm and love I have for working on packedrat.
